I Can Help!
Having your home in foreclosure is stressful, scary and confusing for most home owners.
There are several options to avoid foreclosure depending on your specific situation. If you are trying to save your home from foreclosure and wish to remain in it, a loan modification may be a good option. If you don’t qualify for a loan modification, then we can consider a refinance or Chapter 13 bankruptcy filing. If you wish to give up your home but do not want the foreclosure to affect your credit history, you can consider a short sale or even a deed in lieu of foreclosure. In some cases, a foreclosure combined with a Chapter 7 bankruptcy may be the best choice.
If you are expecting to come up with all the money for the arrears on the mortgage, or you are planning to sell the property in the near future, a Motion to Postpone the Sheriff Sale can be filed. This will result in a hearing before a Common Pleas Court Judge in which you or your attorney will tell the Court why you believe that it should stop the Sheriff Sale.
